{"id":1581,"date":"2024-09-09T06:27:55","date_gmt":"2024-09-09T05:27:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/?p=1581"},"modified":"2024-09-09T06:27:57","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T05:27:57","slug":"adaptable-and-fun-concept-secures-third-place-at-designathon-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/adaptable-and-fun-concept-secures-third-place-at-designathon-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Adaptable and fun concept secures third place at Designathon 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Team <strong>DesAIgn<\/strong> placed third in the international Designathon for their idea, CraBIN, an innovative machine which collects waste from the land and the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mechanical Engineering students, <strong>Ahmet Ak\u00e7ad\u0131rc\u0131 and \u0130brahim Berat Ertu\u011frul,<\/strong> represented Yildiz Technical University, T\u00fcrkiye, in the two-day Designathon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two-day event, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/designathon-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Designing a Green Tomorrow<\/a><\/strong>, organised by Autodesk and KnowledgePoint, attracted more than 100 students teams representing 29 institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked about the event, Team DesAIgn said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe wanted to challenge ourselves and compete with others.&nbsp;It was both instructive and entertaining for since the project has mechanical and designing sides. It was good to learn about Fusion and about working with a group.&nbsp;And it taught us about the importance of patience, communication and project management.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CraBIN: green, efficient and cute design concept<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1010\" height=\"503\" src=\"http:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/corralit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/3rd-Desaign.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/corralit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/3rd-Desaign.png 1010w, https:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/corralit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/3rd-Desaign-300x149.png 300w, https:\/\/knowledgepoint.com\/autodesk\/corralit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/3rd-Desaign-768x382.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1010px) 100vw, 1010px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on their concept, Team DesAIgn said: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cLand and water cleaning has never been so fun. CraBIN uses solar panels on its top to gather clean energy, and uses it to clean the environment! It has four arms, two of them collects waste on earth and send to its mouth.&nbsp;Two of them collects the waste on water surface and collects them by opening its solar panel top.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expert view<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Designathon concepts were judged by an expert panel including representatives from Autodesk and KnowledgePoint.&nbsp; The judges were impressed by the quality of the student submissions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe appreciated this project for its nature inspired design, making it the most successful among similar entries. Its ability to adapt to the environment and accomplish tasks effectively contributes to a greener world.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised by KnowledgePoint, Designathon is part Autodesk\u2019s commitment to education.&nbsp;The two-day online event saw nearly 300 students from 12 countries develop vital digital skills, and compete in the global challenge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Team DesAIgn placed third in the international Designathon for their idea, CraBIN, an innovative machine which collects waste from the land and the sea.
