It’s a new year for KnowledgePoint, it’s a new office
We wanted to share some exciting news with you! Due to our continued growth and ongoing development of our services, KnowledgePoint head office has moved to 612 Reading Road, Winnersh, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41 5HE. The production facility is still located at C2 Eskdale Road, Winnersh Triangle, Winnersh, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG41 5TS and our services division, along with our Finance and IT Team will now be moving to the new head office.
For over 20 years KnowledgePoint has been a preferred supplier and advisor for training companies and organisations that train – bringing learning to life for everyone with knowledge to share.
It is our great pleasure to also share with you our new logo and brand identify, celebrating our extensive knowledge gained providing high-quality service to the companies that train.
As we are coming to our year-end, we wanted to share a few of our highlights over FY18/19…
KnowledgePoint prides itself on taking a pro-active stance with regards to environmental issues. Last year KnowledgePoint made a commitment to our customers to remove plastic packaging from our products. As of August 2018, we ceased using shrink-wrap and bubble wrap and moved to use paper-based packaging materials almost entirely.
We have invested in new printing and finishing equipment at our C2 Eskdale Road production facility, streamlining the printing process. The new machines will help to print more efficiently and automate some manual processes. We are always looking for new ways to develop and improve our long-standing core business, which means that we have taken this opportunity to also decrease our carbon footprint, by investing in equipment that requires less power.
Our Services business (KnowledgePoint Connect) were appointed as the Unity’s Learning Services Distributor for Europe Middle East and Africa and soon after, that remit extended to cover Australia and New Zealand as well. We have already seen a strong uptake with Unity when signing up the next generation of real 3D training partners across the region.
A lot of new exciting features and functionalities were added to MyLiveBook during 2019, such as the single sign-on using Facebook, Google, and Microsoft, as well as the introduction of the catalogue functionality (ability to cater for increasing library of content) for bitesize learning.
On a final note, please also join us in wishing the best of luck to our BIM (Building Information Modelling) Competition Students as a part of the WorldSkills Live in November 2019.
